According to the report of True Crime News, Sarah Sorensen and her boyfriend, Kristopher North are facing 29 charges related to the severe abuse of Sorensen’s three children. The charges include 21 counts of second-degree felony aggravated child abuse and eight counts of misdemeanor child abuse. These charges came after a troubling report on August 21 led police to their home. The officers found the 6-year-old child with injuries like red marks on his neck, bruises, scratches, and many open wounds on his bottom. The children aged 6, 8, and 9 were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Prosecutors say North has been abusing the children since 2020. He allegedly used physical punishment like making them do pushups, kicking them, and choking them. He is also accused of pulling the 8-year-old’s hair so hard that it caused bald spots and even threatened the child with a gun. In one shocking incident and the 6-year-old lost consciousness after being punched raising fears of a concussion. Despite the abuse, Sorensen is said to have ignored it and failed to report it for years.
