Son’s Deceit Exposed
The case began in August 2023 when Brian Hemmert, 60 was reported missing. Jake initially claimed his father was on a hunting trip and later suggested he was fighting human trafficking abroad. However, discrepancies in Jake’s statements and his nervous behavior led deputies to investigate further. A search warrant revealed bloodstains, Brian’s cellphone, credit card in Jake’s possession, and freezer in the home containing Brian’s remains.
DNA Evidence Reveals Shocking Truth Behind Father’s Mysterious Death
An autopsy confirmed Brian Hemmert died from gunshot wounds, and financial records showed Jake had been using his father’s credit card extensively. Jake later admitted to the murder asserting it was a “suicide request” from his father but this claim was met with skepticism. The investigation also linked Jake to the freezer through DNA evidence culminating in his guilty plea and sentencing.
