MOUNT OLIVET, Ky. (TCN) — A 32-year-old woman is in custody after authorities found her mother’s dismembered remains at her home this week.
According to Kentucky State Police, on Oct. 9 at around 12:30 p.m., troopers responded to a report of a deceased female on Brierly Ridge Road. Authorities tried but failed to make contact with an individual inside and obtained a search warrant for the property.
That day, a man scheduled to work at Trudy Fields’ residence knocked on the door, but she didn’t answer, WCPO-TV reports. When the worker went around the back, he reportedly noticed a pile of hair, a blood-stained mattress, and drag marks in the grass. According to WCPO, the man told law enforcement the drag marks led to a dismembered body in the grass, who he believed was Fields.
Per a police report reviewed by WCPO, the worker said he saw Fields the day prior, and he claimed the victim’s daughter, 32-year-old Torilena Fields, was “casting spells on them and being confrontational.”
When executing the search warrant, Torilena Fields was reportedly uncooperative and refused to leave. Authorities deployed tear gas multiple times before they removed Torilena Fields from the home at 11 p.m. She allegedly had blood on her face, hands, and clothes.
According to WCPO, investigators located multiple body parts cooked in a pot inside the oven, and they located a mattress near Trudy Fields’ body with multiple body parts and organs on top of it.
State police said Torilena Fields faces charges of obstructing governmental operations, tampering with physical evidence, and abuse of a corpse. Further charges are possible. Torilena Fields remains held in the Bourbon County Detention Center.
